Garsington Opera Unveils 2024 Season

Garsington Opera has announced its 2024 season which will feature five operas.

First up is “Platé” starring Samuel Boden, Mireille Asselin, Robert Murray, Jonathan McGovern, Henry Waddington, and Ossian Huskinson. Paul Agnew conducts and Louisa Muller directs.

Performance Dates: May 29 – June 30, 2024

Next up is “Le Nozze di Figaro” conducted by Tabita Berglund with Bruno Ravella reviving John Cox’s production. The cast stars Davie Ireland, Claire Lees, Rafael Fingerlos, Samantha Clarke, Bethany Horak-Hallett, Neal Davies, Susan Bickley, Paul Nilon, and Frzer Scott.

Performance Dates: May 30 – July 23, 2024

Iestyn Davies, Lucy Crowe, Richard Burkhard, Caspar Singh, James Newby, Stephanie Wake-Edwards, Camila Harris, Nicholas Crawley, Christine Rice, John Savourin, Frazer Scott, and Geoffrey Dolton lead “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.” Douglas Boyd conducts and Netia Jones directs.

Performance Dates: June 16 – July 19, 2024

Joshua Hopkins, Christine Rice, Henry Waddington, Oliver Sewell, Madison Leonard, and Grant Doyle star in “Un Giorno di Regno.” Tobias Ringborg conducts and Christopher Alden directs.

Performance Dates: June 29 – July 22, 2024

There will also be a gala concert featuring such artists as Roderick Williams, Natalya Romaniw, Christine Rice, and Henry Waddington.

Performance Dates: July 7, 2024

The season ends with “A Trip to the Moon,” starring Robert Murray and Jennifer France. Douglas Boyd conducts and Karen Gillingham directs.

Performance Dates: July 30 & 31, 2024
