Gran Teatre del Liceu Closes 2022-23 Season with Balanced Books

The Gran Teatre del Liceu closed the 2022-23 season with a balanced book.

During the 2022-23 season, the Barcelona theater had a 51 million budget, which was up 9.4 percent from the year before. Forty-eight percent of the budget came from donations of public administrations and 7.9 million euros came from patrons,

The company also noted that there were 273,000 spectators, which was up 3% from the 2021-22 season, and a total of 82% tickets sold which was also up from the season before. Finally, a total of 30 performances were sold out.

The average audience age came from 50-year-olds, which was on par with the 2021-22 season while 48 percent of the audience came from Barcelona. Subscribers also went up to 15,500 subscribers, while subscribers from Liceu+ closed with 3,000 subscribers.
