Hawai’i Opera Theatre Announces 2021-22 Season

Hawai’i Opera Theatre has announced its 2021-22 season.

The company will open in October with a one-act program of opera arias directed by Artistic Advisor Jamie Offenbach. The performance, which will star soprano Elena Galván and baritone Hadleigh Adams, will be led by conductor Mark Morash.

Performance Dates: October 2021

The company will also present an Opera Ball at the Sheraton Waikiki.

Performance Date: Nov. 6, 2021

Next up will be “The Tragedy of Carmen” starring Ashley Dixon, Christian Pursell, and Maria Valdes. Karen Tiller directs the opera, which will be conducted by Emily Senturia.

Performance Dates: February 2022

The season draws to a close with a production of “Madama Butterfly.” Aria Umezawa directs the production.
