Teatro Real to Broadcast ‘La Traviata’ Starring Marina Rebeka & Michael Fabiano

The Teatro Real is scheduled to present a live worldwide broadcast of Verdi’s “La Traviata.”

The broadcast, which will be in co-production with TVE, MOVISTAR, and the Teatro Real, will be held on July 15 and will star Marina Rebeka, Michael Fabiano, and Artur Rucinski. Nicola Luisotti conducts the Teatro Real’s Chorus and Orchestra.

The broadcast will be free on the company’s MyOperaPlayer and will then be available on the platform’s catalog.

The recording will be created within the limitations of the health and safety regulations and is an audiovisual co-production between MyOperaPlayer with the technological participation of Telefónica and Samsung.

The Teatro Real is currently presenting a production of Verdi’s “La Traviata” with more than 800 audience members under a strict health and safety protocol.

The company began performances on July 1 and is expected to present 27 shows with four different casts including Lisette Oropesa, Lana Kos, Ruth Iniesta, Ekaterina Bakanova, Javier Franco Matthew Polenzani, Ismael Jordi, and Ivan Magrì.
