Teatro Regio di Parma Announces ‘Rigoletto al Barsò’

The Teatro Regio di Parma has announced “Rigoletto al barsò.”

The theater will showcase a production of Verdi’s beloved opera this summer at the Parma, Parco della Musica from June 29 through July 16.

The cast will include David Astorga and Carmine Riccio sharing the role of the Duke, with Giulia Bolcato and Giada Borrelli alternating as Gilda. Federico Longhi and Joung Jun Park will rotate the title role. Andrea Pellegrini will sing the role of Sparafucile, while Cinzia Chiarini will perform Maddalena.

Alessandro Palumbo will conduct the production by Roberto Catalano.

The Teatro Regio di Parma is the latest Italian theater to announce an outdoor summer program following the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma and the Verdi Festival. Other festivals that will be held in Italy include the Macerata Festival and the Festival Valle d’Itria.
