Kristin Lewis Replaces Sondra Radvanovsky In ‘Aida’

Kristin Lewis is set to make her Metropolitan Opera debut as “Aida.”

The Met Opera announced via social media that Sondra Radvanovsky has withdrawn from January performances due to personal reasons. As a result, Lewis will replace her.

According to the Met, Radvanovsky is still set for performances on Feb. 28, March 4 and 7.

Lewis recently made her Royal Opera House debut and is a renown Aida. She has performed the role around the world including at the Teatro alla Scala, Opera Hong Kong, and Teatro San Carlo and is set to perform the role this season at the Hamburg State Opera, Arena di Verona, and the Wiener Staatsoper.

Lewis joins a cast that includes Yonghoon Lee, Dolora Zajick, and Roberto Frontali. Nicola Luisotti conducts.
